Product Overview

WU XU Series Suction Filter is a cost-effective coarse FILTER, designed as primary protection for the hydraulic system of industrial Machine. Submerged inside the hydraulic oil tank and mounted at the suction port of hydraulic pump, this FILTER has two optional constructions: wire mesh type for WU series and notched wire type for XU series. It intercepts large solid contaminants in hydraulic oil before oil enters the pump, preventing particle abrasion and damage to pump gears, pistons and other precision components of the Machine.

This FILTER features simple structure, large flow capacity and low flow resistance. Threaded pipe connection and flange connection are available to fit different tank layouts. Some models are equipped with built-in bypass valve to avoid pump cavitation. Multiple flow specifications can match different hydraulic power units and industrial Machine. The metal filter element can be cleaned and reused repeatedly, which reduces operating cost of the hydraulic system.

Working Principle

When the Machine starts to operate, hydraulic oil inside the tank flows into WU XU suction FILTER. Large impurities such as metal chips, sand grains and rubber fragments are trapped by wire mesh or notched wire filter cartridge. Clean hydraulic oil flows into the inlet of hydraulic pump.

As contaminants accumulate on the filter element, pressure drop rises. If equipped with bypass valve, the valve will open automatically at preset pressure, allowing oil to bypass the filter temporarily to prevent pump empty suction and cavitation, ensuring continuous operation of the hydraulic system. After long-time service, the metal cartridge can be taken out, cleaned and reinstalled instead of frequent replacement.
