The ST2242 handheld AC four-probe tester is a resistivity testing instrument specially designed for samples that are not suitable for testing by the DC four-probe method. It is mainly used for ionic conductive substances (such as electrolyte solutions, conductive gels) and conductive powder suspensions (such as carbon powder, graphene powder slurry).
Adopting new digital and microprocessing technologies, the resistivity or resistance is measured by the precise 4-wire method and the simple 2-wire method. It has unique anti-interference ability and environmental adaptability, with good consistency in repeated tests, ensuring high precision, high stability and high reliability in long-term measurements. It is widely used in scientific research institutions and universities for testing the conductivity of gels, solutions, ionic conductive materials, and samples not suitable for direct current testing.

3. Working Principle
3.1 Measurement of Resistivity ρ
The 4-probe method is adopted: As shown in Figure 3-1, an alternating current I flows between C(H) (connected to the current electrode I+) and E(connected to the current electrode I-). Calculate the potential difference V between P(S)(voltage electrode V+) and ES(auxiliary electrode V-). Divide the potential difference V by the alternating current I to obtain the resistance value R of the sample. The electrode interval distance is S(m). The value of the sample resistivity is obtained according to the formula ρ0=2πS*R(Ωm). The interval between C(H)-P(S) is equal to that between P(S)-ES, both being S.
3.2 Instrument Usage environment and Storage Method
a. Temperature: T=0-40℃, relative humidity: RH≤60%
b. There should be no strong electromagnetic field interference in the studio, and it should not share power with high-frequency equipment.
c. Store in a cool, dry place free from corrosive gases.
