The differential lock shift fork slides the engagement sleeve into mesh with the side gear when the driver activates the lock, and pulls it out when released. If the fork bends, wears at the sliding pads, or breaks, the lock either will not engage, engages only partially, or refuses to release. Partial engagement is the most dangerous condition — it allows the sleeve to grind against the side gear teeth, generating metal debris that contaminates the entire axle oil circuit.
We are Shaanxi Tolizer Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., a China-based supplier focused on heavy-duty truck and axle components. Our team has over ten years of experience in the international commercial vehicle parts supply chain. We supply parts for Shacman, TONLY, SINOTRUK, LiuGong, and FAW vehicles to distributors and fleet workshops worldwide.
Our HD469-2511011 Differential Lock Shift Fork is a direct replacement for the original Hande Axle component. It fits Hande HDZ300, HDZ469, HDZ440, and HDZ237 series drive axles — the inter-axle differential lock on the middle axle of Shacman F3000, X3000, M3000, and X5000 tandem trucks, as well as TONLY mining vehicles. Also the direct fitment for Kamaz 6580 and Ural trucks with Hande axles. The fork is a single-piece steel casting with precision-machined sliding surfaces and a hardened contact pad.
Choosing this shift fork means choosing a component that engages and releases the differential lock fully every time.
Product Detail Image:

Surface Treatment: Shot-blasted and coated for corrosion resistance. Sliding surfaces machined smooth and treated for wear resistance. Pivot bore precision-honed for accurate alignment.
Manufacturing Process: Cast from high-strength steel or ductile iron, CNC-machined on pivot bore, sliding surfaces, and sleeve contact pad. Contact pad heat-treated. Dimensional inspection verifies fork width, height, and pivot bore.
Structure Diagram: Pivot bore at the base, two fork arms that straddle the engagement sleeve, and a contact pad on each arm that pushes the sleeve in and out. Actuated by a piston rod or shift rod connected to the differential lock control system.
Installation Position: Installs inside the differential housing on the middle axle, with fork arms straddling the engagement sleeve. Pivot bore mounts on a pin or shaft; fork connects to the actuator rod that moves it axially.

Product Principle: The fork converts linear motion of the actuator rod into axial movement of the engagement sleeve. When the lock is activated, air pressure or a mechanical linkage pushes the rod forward, moving the fork, which slides the sleeve along the axle shaft splines until the sleeve teeth mesh with the differential side gear teeth. When released, a return spring or reverse pressure pulls the rod back, and the fork withdraws the sleeve. Critical requirements are full engagement travel and full release travel.
Diagnostic Note: Shift fork failure on Hande axles is often misdiagnosed as actuator or wiring problems. Watch for: Differential lock light flashes but does not stay on — fork not pushing sleeve into full engagement; sensor detects partial engagement and ECU refuses to confirm. Grinding or clicking when lock activated — fork bent or pads worn, allowing sleeve to stop short and grind against side gear teeth. Lock engages but will not release — fork worn a groove in sleeve, or bent and binding on pivot pin. Lock works only sometimes — fork loose on pivot or pads worn unevenly. Metal debris in axle oil — sleeve and side gear teeth grinding from partial engagement; stop using lock immediately and inspect fork, sleeve, and side gear.
Before replacing the fork, check two conditions: First, verify the actuator delivers full travel — a weak actuator or restricted air line prevents full engagement even with a good fork. Second, inspect the engagement sleeve groove — if worn or stepped, a new fork will not fix the problem; replace fork and sleeve as a set.
