Manufacturing Process: Hot-forged 45# steel housing, CNC-machined on 26-tooth spline bore and worm shaft bore. Worm gear and screw machined from 40Cr, heat-treated. Assembled with clutch spring and one-way clutch. Inspected for 26-tooth spline, 14-tooth arm spline, 135 mm center distance, and adjustment function.
Structure Diagram: Hot-forged 45# steel housing, 26-tooth involute spline bore for camshaft, 14-tooth arm spline, worm gear and screw, one-way clutch, clevis pin hole, 135 mm center distance.
Installation Position: Mounts on front brake camshaft on HDM9.5T / HDZ9.5T front steering axle. 26-tooth spline engages camshaft. Clevis hole connects to front brake chamber push rod. Front axle only — do not use on rear axles or 5.5T/7.5T front axles.
Product Principle: 26-tooth spline bore mounts on HDM9.5T front camshaft. One-way clutch senses excess rotation from lining wear, rotates worm screw to advance camshaft position. On release, clutch locks adjusted position. 14-tooth arm spline connects to adjuster arm. 135 mm center distance maintains correct leverage ratio between push rod and camshaft. Front axle uses service chamber only — no spring brake.
Diagnostic Note: Watch for: Front brake stroke exceeds limit — adjuster not compensating for lining wear. Brake pulling to one side — left/right adjusters not maintaining equal stroke. Adjuster slips or fails to hold — one-way clutch or worm gear worn. 26-tooth spline bore wear — adjuster loose on camshaft. Incorrect tooth count installed — adjuster will not seat on camshaft; brake non-functional on that wheel. Before replacing, confirm camshaft is 26-tooth and arm is 14-tooth.
