Introduce

     Plastic barrels with a diameter of more than 200mm are widely used in industrial product packaging, including lubricating oil, coatings, paint, and putty. These barrels are typically made of PP or PE plastic materials. To achieve high‑quality printing on such large plastic containers, a specially designed large‑format automatic screen printing equipment is required, which is an enlarged and upgraded version of standard container screen printing equipment.

The structure of a plastic barrel screen printing machine is similar to conventional cylindrical screen printers, and mainly includes the following parts:

1. Feeding Conveyor System

   The bucket automatic screen printing machine is equipped with an automatic feeding conveyor belt. Operators can place plastic barrels on the belt, which automatically transports them to the suction position. The suction nozzle then transfers the barrels to the main printing station. To reduce manual labor and improve automation, robotic arm loading is increasingly used for placing barrels onto the conveyor.

2. Flame Treatment System

    Since PP and PE are polyolefin materials with low surface adhesion, a flame treatment unit is installed to activate the barrel surface. This greatly improves ink adhesion and prevents printing from falling off.

3. Screen Printing System

    The screen printing system adopts a rotating barrel and moving screen plate structure. To ensure high efficiency and precision, the horizontal movement of the screen is driven by a servo motor. All pneumatic components use internationally branded parts for stable and reliable performance. The main frame is welded with thick steel plates, making the machine strong and durable.

4. UV Curing System

     For continuous high‑speed printing, UV curable ink is the best choice to avoid screen blocking. UV ink dries instantly under UV lamps, featuring fast drying, high hardness, strong adhesion, and bright color. The UV drying system ensures stable production without smudging or sticking.

5. Unloading System

After stencil printing, finished barrels are automatically and neatly conveyed to the output belt for quality inspection and subsequent stacking.

    The fully automatic plastic barrel screen printing line usually consists of one main machine and multiple single‑color printing units. It can be flexibly configured for 2‑color, 3‑color, 4‑color, 5‑color, or 6‑color printing to meet different production requirements.
