The shuttle-type plastic barrel UVLED screen printing machine is an automatic multi-color screen printing system designed for plastic barrels with diameters over 300 mm, such as lubricating oil drums, paint buckets, and mineral water barrels. Compared with traditional linear fully automatic barrel printing lines, it features a simpler structure, easier operation, and higher cost-efficiency, making it especially suitable for small and medium-sized production facilities.
The machine is equipped with a servo-driven shuttle worktable, where the plastic barrel and fixture move between different screen printing stations and UV curing stations. Driven by a servo motor and precision screw system, it ensures high positioning accuracy and stable movement during multi-color printing cycles.
Designed for wide-mouth plastic barrels, the fixture uses a dual-disc bottom support and mouth clamping structure to ensure stable positioning. The barrel is driven to rotate continuously during printing, ensuring uniform ink transfer. Even when the shuttle system moves between stations, the barrel maintains synchronized rotation for precise multi-color registration.
For polypropylene (PP) barrels, flame treatment is applied to improve ink adhesion. The flame unit is installed at the front section of the printing line. During treatment, the barrel rotates at a constant speed to ensure uniform surface oxidation. For materials such as polycarbonate (PC), flame treatment may not be required.
The system typically consists of 2–3 servo-controlled screen printing heads arranged in sequence. Each printing unit is driven by a servo motor to ensure high registration accuracy. The structure is similar to a curved surface screen printing system, ensuring precise ink transfer onto cylindrical barrel surfaces during adjustment and production.
Between color printing processes, each ink layer must be properly cured before the next printing cycle begins. The UVLED curing system ensures fast drying of the first color layer, preventing ink mixing or smudging during multi-color overprinting. It provides high-gloss surface quality with low thermal impact and is an environmentally friendly curing method.
The machine is equipped with a PLC-based touchscreen operation panel, enabling precise parameter adjustment and real-time monitoring. Operators can easily control printing speed, rotation, curing time, and positioning accuracy through an intuitive human-machine interface, ensuring stable and repeatable production performance.
